Every day, little Lala was growing—stronger, smarter, and more independent. Once the baby who needed help with everything, Lala was now learning to take care of herself step by step, and everyone around her was so proud.
One bright morning, she woke up before Thuy called her. She stretched, rubbed her eyes, and climbed out of bed quietly. Heading to the bathroom, she brushed her teeth and washed her face all on her own, even remembering to use a towel to dry off her cheeks.
Then, she opened her small wardrobe, picked out her favorite clean dress, and carefully put it on. Though the buttons took a little longer, Lala didn’t give up. She whispered to herself, “I can do it.”
At breakfast time, she helped set the table, placing spoons and bowls neatly. When Thuy walked in and saw everything ready, she was speechless. “Lala! You did all this yourself?” she asked with a proud smile.
Lala nodded. “I want to help and be a big girl now.”
During the day, Lala even tried folding her clothes, organizing her toys, and feeding the little pet fish. Of course, she still needed help with the trickier tasks, but she wasn’t afraid to try. And when things didn’t go perfectly, she simply smiled and said, “Next time, I’ll do better.”
That evening, as Thuy tucked her into bed, she gently kissed Lala’s forehead. “You’re becoming so independent, my little star.”
Lala giggled and hugged her mom tight. “Because I want to take care of you too someday.”
And in that simple moment, Thuy realized—Lala’s independence wasn’t just about growing up, it was about love, responsibility, and a heart full of care.
