day was a special day—one I’ll never forget. With the morning sun peeking through the dense canopy, I set out for the old forest, determined to try my luck and see if I could trap a phoenix bird to raise. Of course, in these parts, “phoenix bird” is what we call the brilliantly colored jungle pheasants that live deep in the green forest, their feathers shimmering like fire in the light.
I carried with me a simple yet clever bamboo trap, crafted with care the night before. My heart was light, and the forest air was crisp and fresh, filling me with hope for the adventure ahead. The deeper I went, the more the forest came alive: birdsong, rustling leaves, and the sweet scent of wildflowers.
I chose a quiet spot near a small stream, where I knew the phoenix birds loved to drink. Carefully, I set up the trap, baiting it with fresh fruit and grains. Then, I hid myself behind a thick bush, my breath still with anticipation.
Time passed slowly, but I was patient. The green forest around me felt magical, like a hidden world waiting to reveal its secrets. Suddenly, I heard the gentle flutter of wings. A phoenix bird, with dazzling red and gold plumage, hopped closer, drawn by the sweet bait.
My heart pounded as the bird stepped inside the trap. In an instant, the door closed softly behind it. I couldn’t believe my luck—it felt like the forest itself had blessed me today.
I carefully carried the trap home, determined to raise the phoenix bird with care and respect. Today was truly a lucky day—proof that in the green forest life, patience and respect for nature can bring incredible rewards
