Lala is worried when she sees the wound on Mom’s leg

It was a quiet afternoon when Lala came running into the house after playing in the garden. Her laughter stopped the moment she saw Mom Thuy sitting on the couch, gently holding her leg and wincing slightly. Lala rushed over, her eyes wide with concern.

“Mom! What happened?” she asked, kneeling beside her.

Thuy gave her a reassuring smile, though the pain was clear in her eyes. “It’s just a small cut, sweetie. I tripped while watering the plants.”

Lala’s heart tightened. She looked down and saw the red scrape on her mother’s leg, slightly swollen. It wasn’t too serious, but to little Lala, it felt like the whole world had stopped. She quickly stood up and said, “Wait here, Mom! I’ll help!”

She ran to get the first aid kit, dragging a small chair over so she could reach it. Carefully, she returned, opening it just like she had seen Thuy do before. With small, gentle hands, she offered the antiseptic wipes.

“Does it hurt a lot?” she whispered.

“A little,” Thuy admitted, touched by Lala’s worry.

“I’ll blow on it so it won’t sting,” Lala said earnestly, gently blowing while Mom cleaned the wound. After helping apply a bandage, Lala sat beside her and held her hand.

“I’ll stay with you until it feels better,” she said softly.

Thuy hugged her daughter tightly. “You’re such a caring little nurse, Lala.”

That evening, Lala didn’t leave her mother’s side. She brought water, fluffed the pillow, and even gave a gentle leg massage with warm hands. Her love and concern made Thuy feel better more than any medicine could.

For Lala, taking care of Mom was her way of saying, “I love you”—and her actions spoke louder than words ever could.
