It was a bright, breezy morning when CEO Kien surprised Lala with a special outdoor activity. “Today,” he smiled, “we’re going to the rice fields to harvest snails!” Lala’s eyes sparkled with excitement and curiosity. She had never collected snails before, and the idea of getting muddy while doing something new thrilled her.
Wearing her little boots and a sun hat, Lala followed CEO Kien to the nearby fields. The recent rain had filled the paddies with water, creating the perfect environment for snails. Kien handed her a small woven basket and showed her how to gently find snails hiding in the grass and under the mud.
At first, Lala hesitated. “They’re slippery!” she giggled, holding up her first snail with both hands. CEO Kien laughed and encouraged her, “You’re doing great! Just be gentle.”
Soon, Lala was moving confidently through the shallow water, carefully picking each snail and placing it into her basket. Her laughter echoed across the fields as she playfully competed with CEO Kien to see who could collect more.
After a couple of hours, their baskets were full. “That’s more than enough for dinner!” Kien said proudly. They returned home with muddy clothes, tired feet, and huge smiles.
Back at the house, Thuy helped them clean the snails, and together they cooked a delicious dish of steamed snails with lemongrass. Lala took her first bite and beamed. “So tasty! And we picked them ourselves!”
That evening, as the sun set and the crickets chirped, Lala snuggled beside CEO Kien and whispered, “Today was one of the best days ever.”
The experience wasn’t just about harvesting snails — it was about bonding, learning something new, and making sweet memories that Lala would cherish forever.
